Alessandro De Maddalena: shark researcher and artist

Considered one of the world’s best nature illustrators, Alessandro De Maddalena has produced over 1000 illustrations of marine animals. His illustrations have appeared in over 100 publications, including popular magazines, scientific journals and books (see Publications). He has had drawings and paintings on exhibit at the Oceanographic Museum in Monaco, the World Festival of Underwater Pictures in Antibes – Juan-Les-Pins, France, Nausicaä – the French National Sea Experience Centre in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France, the Aquarium of Milan, Italy, the Museum of Marine Biology in Porto Cesareo, Italy, and the Whale Shark Museum in Talisayan, Philippines.
